Amy has been teaching her own and other people's children for over forty years, developing Redemptive Education as the quest to align with God's design for teaching and learning using an approach that is BRIE: Biblical - Relational - Integral and Experiential. In 2018 she founded the Center for Redemptive Education (CRE) in order to articulate, cultivate, demonstrate and facilitate this quest!
Mother of four adult children and four young grandchildren, Amy continues to teach/lead/write/sing her way through supporting all who aspire to be Redemptive Educators, whether at home, at school, at church, or in a hybrid such as the Scent of Water Learning Communities and the Boots & Roots outdoor education programs created by the CRE. Amy loves God, His Word and His World, especially kids, parents, teachers and other educators serving children and young people through Redemptive Education.
