Natalie Mack is a mom of five, (inactive) licensed therapist, military home educator since 2001, Navy Chaplain’s wife, field trip coordinator, soccer mom, Scouts BSA Merit Badge Coordinator, and newbie writer/ blogger.
Hanging up her therapist shingle, Natalie Mack followed God’s leading to home educate her children in 2001- right before 9-11. She has launched 4 of her 5 children to college and on to graduate school or professional careers. Her 4th student will be entering George Mason University Honors College this fall leaving her youngest at home who is entering 8th grade.
She owns Bella Bling by Natalie as an Independent Consultant with Paparazzi Accessories, selling gorgeous nickel and lead-free jewelry for women, men and children. She has reached the rank of Director and Life of the Party Silver with a team of 19 dynamic bling bosses.
As a military Naval spouse, she has lived all over the world. Homeschooling abroad in Europe was an incredible opportunity. She and her family of 7 traveled to Germany, Switzerland, England, Greece and several other countries as often as they could to bring history and culture alive for their children.
After providing several how to homeschool workshops, marital enhancement retreats and consulting services to churches, Natalie and her husband established Mack Family Consulting, LLC in 2019.
In 2017, she put on her caregiving hat by relocating her mother-in-love to reside with them. As a result, she later pinned her very new blog, Life in the Middle, which is a forum for discussion about the Sandwich Generation as well as other topics. She is also a writer for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine having written articles on military life and homeschooling while caregiving.
Her passions include people, homeschooling, travel, cooking/baking, languages, history and genealogy research. She currently serves as Co-President of Belvoir Home Educators located on Fort Belvoir, VA. She is a staunch advocate for military homeschoolers having served in leadership capacities within the military homeschool community for almost 20 years.
She received her Masters in Education with a concentration in Community Counseling from the George Washington University in Washington DC and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from her beloved alma mater, Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
